Truck-mounted forklifts are playing an increasingly important role in modern logistics, helping streamline delivery operations by allowing goods to be loaded and unloaded quickly, safely and independently. By eliminating the need for additional loading infrastructure or support equipment, these machines reduce delays and improve efficiency across a wide range of industries.
Shamrock Handling Concepts offers a full range of Moffett truck-mounted forklifts, including the Moffett M8 NX2, a versatile machine designed to enhance safety, productivity and operator control in demanding delivery environments. Built with a compact design suitable for mounting on trucks or trailers, the M8 NX2 is capable of handling medium to heavy loads directly at the delivery point.
A key innovation in this model is the side-mount feature, which allows operators to access and control the forklift from ground level. This reduces the need to climb into the cab, making operation quicker and significantly lowering the risks associated with frequent mounting and dismounting during deliveries.
To further improve efficiency, the forklift includes a single-side offloading capability, enabling goods to be handled from one side of the vehicle without repositioning it. With the ability to reach across the truck deck while maintaining mast tilt and side-shift functions, this feature reduces handling time and simplifies operations in tight urban areas or busy construction sites. Lift assist is available as an optional enhancement to support this functionality.
Operator visibility and control have also been improved. A redesigned fork carriage provides a clearer view of the load, while a multifunction colour display delivers real-time data such as engine speed, fuel levels and machine inclination. This information is presented in a user-friendly interface to support safe and precise handling throughout the loading process.
The M8 NX2 is engineered for manoeuvrability in confined spaces. Its refined steering geometry, combined with optional four-way steering, allows it to operate in narrow passageways of as little as three metres. A rear tyre pivoting system further enhances turning capability, making it easier to position the machine alongside vehicles or within restricted yards.
Connectivity features add another layer of efficiency. The forklift uses an integrated CAN-bus system to link machine components and transmit operational data to a cloud platform. This enables fleet managers to remotely monitor performance, track maintenance requirements and optimise equipment utilisation, improving overall fleet management.
Safety remains a core focus, with built-in audible and visual alerts to ensure seatbelts and safety guards are properly secured. LED lighting and safety beacons enhance visibility in busy or low-light environments, while the machine’s robust construction and simplified maintenance access support reliable day-to-day performance.
With a lifting capacity of up to 3,500 kg, the M8 NX2 is well suited to applications such as construction, agriculture, roofing, scaffolding and general logistics, particularly in locations where space is limited or terrain is uneven.
Available with a wide range of attachments—including telescopic forks, fork positioners and extensions—the machine can be adapted to handle various types of loads safely and efficiently. Shamrock Handling Concepts also supports the range with a three-year warranty, as well as spare parts, repair and maintenance services, ensuring long-term reliability.
